A RESOLUTION GRANTING A VALANCE FROM
ORDINANCE NO. 6871, ARTICLE V, SECTION 3
(2)(a), TO PERMIT ENCLOSURE OF EXISTING
CARPORT, ON LOT 15, BLOCK 6, EL DORADO
HEIGHTS (5-72), WITH SIDE SETBACK OF 3'
(5' REQUIRED), LOCATED AT 3151 N.W. 2ND
STREET, IN AN R-1 (ONE -FAMILY) DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Board of the City of
Miami, at its meeting held on April 10, 1972, passed and
adopted by a 9 to 0 vote its Resolution No. 72-87, recommend-
ing granting a variance from Ordinance No. 6871, Article V,
Section 3 (2)(a), as hereinafter set forth; and this Commission
deems it advisable in the interest of the general welfare of
the City of Miami to grant this variance requested on the
ground that a refusal would result in practical difficulties
and unnecessary hardship to the applicant under an R-1 (One -
Family) District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the application for a variance from
Ordinance No. 6871, Article V, Section 3 (2)(a), to permit
enclosure of existing carport, on Lot 15, Block 6, EL DORADO
HEIGHTS, Plat Book 5, Page 72, with side setback of 3' (5'
required), located at 3151 N. W. 2nd Street, in an R-1 (One -
Family) District, be and the same is hereby granted.
Section 2. This variance shall become null and void
unless the use is commenced within six months of the effect-
ive date of this Resolution. Extension may be granted by the
City Manager pursuant to the provisions of Article XXXI,

#8, following an advertised Hearing, adopted Resolution No. 72-87
by a 9 to 0 vote recommending Variance from Ordinance No. 6871,
ARTICLE V, Section 3 (2) (a), to permit enclosure of existing car-
port on Lot 15, Block 6, EL DORADO HEIGHTS (5-72), located at
3151 N. W. 2nd Street, with side setback of 3' (5' required);
zoned R-1 (One -Family).
Two objections were received in the mail.
A RESOLUTION to provide for this Variance has been prepared by
the City Attorney's office and submitted for consideration of
the City Commission.
