A RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE FROM
ORDINANCE NO. 6871, ARTICLE V, SECTION 3
(2)(a), TO PERMIT ENCLOSURE OF EXISTING
CARPORT AND CONSTRUCTION OF ADDITION TO
SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE ON LOT 3, BLOCK 4,
DURHAM TERRACE (44-55), WITH SIDE SETBACK
OF 5' (6.2' REQUIRED), LOCATED AT 4060
N. W. 6TH STREET, IN AN R-1 (ONE -FAMILY)
DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Board of the City of
Miami, at its meeting held on April 24, 1972, passed and
adopted by an 8 to 1 vote its Resolution No. 72-100, recommend-
ing granting a variance from Ordinance No. 6871, Article V,
Section 3 (2)(a), as hereinafter set forth; and this Commission
deems it advisable in the interest of the general welfare of the
City of Miami to grant this variance requested on the ground that
a refusal would result in practical difficulties and unnecessary
hardship to the applicant under an R-1 (One -Family) District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the application for a variance from
Ordinance No. 6871, Article V, Section 3 (2)(a), to permit
enclosure of existing carport and construction of addition to
single family residence on Lot 3, Block 4, DURHAM TERRACE (44-55),
with side setback of 5' (6.2' required), located at 4060 N. W.
6th Street, in an R-1 (One -Family) District, be and the same is
hereby granted.
Section 2. This variance shall become null and void
unless the use is commenced within six months of the effect-
ive date of this Resolution. Extension may be granted by the
