HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-72-0172RESOLUTION NO. 72-172 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO DEVELOP PLANS FOR A SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL PROGRAM ALONG THE LINES OF THE REPORT SUBMITTED THIS DATE BY LEONARD S. WEGMAN, INC. AND GREENLEAF-TELESCA, AND TO SUBMIT SAID PLAN TO THE COMMISSION, ALONG WITH HIS RECOMMENDATIONS ON SAME BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: That the City Manager be, and he is, hereby authorized and directed to develop plans for a solid waste disposal program along the lines of the report submitted this date by Leonard S. Wegman, Inc. and Greenleaf-Telesca, and to submit said plan to the City Commission, along with his recommendations on same. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of May, 1972. 'r. A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE POLICY OF THE CITY COMMISSION THAT GARBAGE, TRASH AND RUBBISH WILL BE COLLECTED AT THE CURBSIDE IN THE CITY OF MIAMI; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY TO PREPARE APPROPRIATE ORDINANCES AND TO ADVERTISE SAID ORDI- NANCES FOR PUBLIC HEARING AT AN APPRO- PRIATE DATE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section I. That the City Commission hereby esta%iishes the policy that garbage, trash and rubbish will be collected at the curbside in the City of Miami. Section 2. That the City Manager and City Attorney are authorized to prepare appropriate ordinances and to advertise said ordinances for public hearing at an appropriate date. 1972.
