BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section 15-18 of Chapter 15 entitled
"Elections" of the Code of the City of Miami, is hereby amend-
ed by deleting Sub -Paragraph B.of Paragraph 14 of Section 15-18.
in its entirety.
Section 2. Sub -Section C of Paragraph 14 of Section 15-18
of the Code of the City of Miami is hereby amended by deleting.
the words "upon the City Manager's report being submitted to the
Commission and after considering the report, if" and substituting
therefor the words "in the. event".
Section 3. Paragraph 14 of Section 15-18 of the Code of the
City of Miami is hereby amended by redesignating Sub -Paragraph C
as 8.
Section 4, Paragraph 14, of Section 15-18 of the Codeof the
City of Miami is hereby amended by redeai9nating Sub -Paragraph U
as C.
Section 5. If any section, sentende, elaube, phrase
-or Word of this ordinanee'for any.reason held or
dedlared tb be unconst tutioual, inoperative or staid, such
holding.or invalidity shall not.affect the retaining portions
of this ordinance: and it shall be' 'construed to have been the
intent of the' Commisaion of the .Oty tf Miami to pass
this-
ordinance without such-unconstitutional,'invalid or inoperar-
tiive part therein, and the remainder .of this Ordinance.' after
the'exClusion of such part or parts. shall be deemed and held
to be valid as if such parts had not been included therein.

Upon paying; to the.City of Mizitni the sum of $100,00, to be
deposited with the city clerk as n, qualifying fee not less than
forty-five clays -prior to the date of such primary' election,
and saki elector shall submit concurrently, therewith a.sworn
statement of his or her name, address, occupation 'and wiliing-
