"APPROVAL" The proposed zone change to R-3 would be an
upgrading of the existing C_4 Classification, The property
to the west of the subject property is Zoned C=4 and
developed facing N. W. 27th Avenue. Property to the east
and facing property to the south are Zoned R=3 with C-4
classification abutting to the rear of the subject property.
Rev. Wright: Would you state your name and .address for
the record please.
Mr. ai1i: My nave is Tom Gili, architect, 8351 S. W. 28th
Street, Miami.
The request is for a change of zoning from R-4 which
is Med
ium Densityto Cl to R-4 from
 , C-1, Localcommercial. Basically.,
the situation that occurs is this, the piece of property currently is
vacant. The piece of property on N. W. 24th Street, which is immedi-
ately to the south of the parcel which we are discussing, has already
been changed in zoning in some fashion in order to permit low scale
residential development similar to the one we are proposing.
The current utilization of the site for a use other than
multiple dwellings seems a little vague to me in that the commercial
feasibility of a piece of property which is set in front the existing
right of 'way-=
Rev. Wright: Excuse me, Mr. Gili, let me askquestion.
Is there anyone here in opposition to this item?
Mr. Gill, the Planning Department has recommended approval.
Mr. Gill: Oh, fine.
Rev. Wright: Do you have anything further to say?
Mr. Gili: No sir,
Rev. Wright: At thus tume, we'll close the Public Hearing
and have discussion among the Board Members.
Mr. Kalil, this is in your district, what is your pleasure?
Mr. Kalil; I make a moveto recommend,
Mrs, Callahan: Second,
Rev, Wright: Mr. Simpson, the motion is to recommend, call
the roll,
