A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BIDS RECEIVED
MAY 3, 1972 OFRAYBRO ELECTRIC SUPPLIES,IWC.,
AND GENERAL ELECTRIC,SUPPLY CO.
Xpix ,FOR FURNISHING
FLOODLIGHT LUMINAIRES, CONCRETE POLES, COPPER
WIRE, MERCURY VAPOR LAMPS, FLOODLIGHT MOUNTING
BRACKETS, ONE (1) TRANSFORMER, AND MISCELLAN-
EOUS OTHER MATERIALS NECESSARY FOR THE INSTALL-
ATION OF LUCALUX LIGHTING CONVERSION, AT AN ESTIMATED
TOTAL COST OF $ 95.499.72 , AND AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE
PURCHASING AGENT OF THE CITY OF MIAMI TO ISSUE
PURCHASE ORDERS THEREFOR, AFTER FIRST HAVING
DETERMINED THAT FUNDS FOR THIS PURPOSE ARE
AVAILABLE.
WHEREAS, bids were received May 3, 1972, by the City
Manager and City Clerk for furnishing floodlight luminaires,
concrete poles, copper wire, mercury vapor lamps, floodlight
mounting brackets, one (1) transformer, and miscellaneous other
materials necessary for the installation of Lucalux lighting
conversion; and
WHEREAS, the miscellaneous equipment is for use in the
conversion of present street lighting to Lucalux in areas
already approved by the City Commission, and for use in provid-
ing park improvements to Moore and Manor Parks as authorized by
City Commission Resolutions 72-62 (4/6/72) and 72-7 (4/6/72)
respectively; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the bids of
Ravbro Electric Supplies INC,. AND GENERAL ELECTRIC SUPPLY CO.,
estimated
in the/total sum of $ , 499 , 72 , are the best (a
and recommends that said bids be accepted. CITY COMMISSION

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OP MIAMI, FLORnA:
Section 1. The bids received May 3, 1972 of
Raybro Electric Supplies. Iuc. and GPnPral E1 ec*ric
Supply Co. , and
for furnishing floodlight luminaires, concrete poles, copper
wire, mercury vapor lamps, floodlight mounting brackets, one
(1) transformer, and miscellaneous other materials necessary
for the installation of Lucalux lighting conversion, at at estimated
total cost of $ 95,499.72 , be and the same are hereby
accepted at the unit prices stated in the respective Proposals.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to instruct the Purchasing Agent of the City of Miami
to issue purchase orders for the items described in Section 1
above, after first having determined' that funds for this
purpose are available.
