RESOLUTION NO.47Vd
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF
FINANCE TO PAY TO DAVE BARRETT,
WITHOUT THE ADMISSION OF LIABILITY, THE
SUM OF $100.00 IN PULL AND COMPLETE SETTLE-
MENT OF ALL CLAIMS AND DEMANDS AGAINST THE
CITY OF MIAMI, UPON THE EXECUTION OF A
RELEASE RELEASING THE CITY OF MIAMI FROM
ALL CLAIMS AND DEMANDS.
WHEREAS, DAVE BARRETT filed a claim against
the City of Miami for damage incurred in the amount of $100.00
when on September 9, 1971, Claimant's dog was mauled and hit
by a car during a fight with a City police dog, causing the dog
to be put to sleep, and incurring Veterinarian bills and loss
of the dog; and
WHEREAS, this claim has been investigated by the
office of the City Attorney and said office recommends that
this claim be settled for the sum of $100.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Director of Finance be and
he is hereby authorized to pay to DAVE BARRETT, the Claimant,
without the admission of liability, the sum of $100.00 in full
and complete settlement of all claims and demands against the
City of Miami, upon the execution of a release releasing the
City of Miami from all claims and demands.
