RESOLUTION NO. !/9
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF
FINANCE TO PAY TO RICHARD WITT AND JEANIE
WITT, HIS WIFE, WITHOUT THE ADMISSION OF
LIABILITY, THE SUM OF $243.00 IN FULL AND
COMPLETE SETTLEMENT OF ALL CLAIMS AND DEMANDS
AGAINST THE CITY OF MIAMI, UPON THE EXECUTION
OF A RELEASE RELEASING THE CITY OF MIAMI FROM
ALL CLAIMS AND DEMANDS.
WHEREAS, RICHARD WITT and JEANIE WITT, his wife,
filed a claim against the City of Miami for damage incurred in
the amount of $243.00 when a car owned and driven by Mrs. Jeanie
Witt hit a large, water -filled and unguarded pothole in the
roadway in front of 5741 West Flagler Street, causing damage to
her car and throwing her 18-month daughter against the dashboard
of the automobile; and
WHEREAS, this claim has been investigated by the
office of the City Attorney and said office recommends that this
claim be settled for the sum of $243.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Director of Finance be and he
is hereby authorized to pay to RICHARD WITT and JEANIE WITT,
without the admission of liability, the sum of $243.00 in full
and complete settlement of all claims and demands against the
City of Miami, upon the execution of a release releasing the
City of Miami from all claims and demands.
