RESOLUTION NO. 7Z-As
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
CITY MANAGER AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN
EXTENSION OF LEASE FOR AN ADDITIONAL PERIOD
OF FIVE (5) YEARS FROM APRIL 10, 1972 TO
APRIL 9, 1977, BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI AND
THE CORAL REEF YACHT CLUB, TO USE THE LEASED
PREMISES SUBJECT TO THE SAME TERMS AND CON-
DITIONS AS THE ORIGINAL LEASE, DATED APRIL
10, 1962, A COPY OF SAID EXTENSION OF LEASE
BEING ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF.
WHEREAS, on April 10, 1962, the City of Miami entered
into a Lease with Coral Reef Yacht Club, as Lessee, to use
the leased premises as provided in said Lease, the term of
said Lease being for a period of five (5) years from April 10,
1962 to April 9, 1967, with the Lease containing a provision
that upon written request to the City Manager of the City of
Miami, the Lessee could continue to use the premises for
additional periods of five (5) years; and
WHEREAS, upon the request of the Coral Reef Yacht Club,
the original Lease was extended for an additional period of
five (5) years from April 10, 1967 to April 9, 1972; and
WHEREAS, the Coral Reef Yacht Club has requested that
the Lease be extended for an additional period of five (5) years
from April 10, 1972 to April 9, 1977; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the original
Lease dated April 10, 1962 be extended for an additional period
of five (5) years, to expire April 9, 1977.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager and City Clerk are here-
by authorized and directed to execute an Extension of Lease
with Coral Reef Yacht Club to use the leased premises subject
to the same terms and conditions as the original Lease, dated
April 10, 1962 for a period of five (5) additional years, from
April 10, 1972 to April 9, 1977, in accordance with said
Extension of Lease, a copy of which is attached hereto and made
a part hereof.

EXTENSIOR OF LEASE
THIS EXTENSION OF LEASE, made and entered into this
day of , 1972, by and between
THE CITY OF MIAMI, a municipal corporation of the State of
Florida, hereinafter called "THE CITY" and CORAL REEF 'YACHT
CLUB, a corporation not for profit, existing under the laws
of the State of Florida, hereinafter called the "LESSEE".
WITNESSET H:
WHEREAS, on April 10, 1962, the City of Miami entered
into a Lease with the Coral Reef Yacht Club for the construc-
tion, operation, use and maintenance of a certain area in
Biscayne Bay, Dade County, Florida to be used for docking
purposes by the members and guests of the Coral Reef Yacht
Club; and
WHEREAS, on April 10, 1967, the Lease described above
was extended for a period of five (5) years to expire April 9,
1972; and
WHEREAS, the Coral Reef Yacht Club has requested that
the Lease be further extended for another period of five (5)
years; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. , passed and adopted by
the Miami City Commission on the day of
1972, extended the existing Lease between the City of Miami and
Coral Reef Yacht Club for an additional period of five (5) years
from April 10, 1972 to April 9, 1977.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises
and mutual covenants hereinafter contained to be observed
and performed, and for One Dollar ($1.00), receipt of which
is hereby acknowledged, and other good and valuable consider-
ation, the parties hereto do hereby covenant and agree as
follows:
1. The Lessee shall have the right to the continued use
of the leased premises as provided in the original Lease for
an additional period of five (5) years, commencing April 10,
1972 and ending April 9, 1977.
2. The terms and conditions of the original Lease
entered into between the parties hereto on April 10, 1962 shall
remain in full force and effect and shall not be deemed to be
repealed, amended or modified in any way except as hereinabove
specifically provided.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this
Extension of Lease to be executed in their names by their duly
authorized officers, all as of the day and year first above
written.
