HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-72-0117RESOLUTION NO. 7 — /77 A RESOLUTION ALLOCATING $75, 000 FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND - UNALLOCATED FUNDS AND CANCELLING $50, 000 IN THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED "NEW BEAUTIFICATION PROJECTS" WITHIN THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND - UNALLOCATED FUNDS, TO PROVIDE FOR THE INITIAL FUNDING FOR THE YOUTH COMMUNITY CENTER TO BE DEVELOPED AT EDISON PARK; FURTHER PROVIDING THAT SAID FUNDS BE RETURNED TO THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND - UNALLOCATED FUNDS, UPON THE SALE OF THE PARKS AND RECREATIONAL BOND ISSUE. WHEREAS, it has been determined that a Youth Community Center is needed for the Edison Park; and WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $50, 000 can be made available by re -allocation from an account identified as "New Beautifi- cation Projects" within the Capital Improvement Fund - Unallocated Funds account; and WHEREAS, sufficient uncommitted funds from the Capital Improvement Construction Fund - Unallocated, can supplement the $50, 000 previously allocated from the "New Beautification Projects"; and WHEREAS, the combining of these sources of funds will provide $75, 000 to initiate the development of the Edison Center Youth Community Center; and WHER EAS, $75, 000 will be returned to the Capital Improvement Fund - Unallocated Funds, from the Parks and Recreational Bond Issue when it is sold; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: t„ .cs.ie.t 1 V Section 1. That $75, 000 be, and is hereby, allocated from the Capital Improvement Fund - Unallocated Funds, and $50, 000 be, and is hereby, cancelled from the account entitled "New Beautification Projects" within the Capital Improvement Fund - Unallocated Funds, to provide for the initial funding for the Youth Community Center to be developed at Edison Park. Section 2. That said funds be returned to the Capital Improve- ment Fund - Unallocated Funds, upon the sale of the Parks and Recreational Bond Issue. • PASSED AND ADOPTED this c=° day of a'�� , 1972.
