RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A "CONDITIONAL USE"
AS PROVIDED IN ORDINANCE NO. 6871,
ARTICLE XV, SECTION 2 (8)(d), TO PERMIT
CONSTRUCTION OF 810 UNIT APARTMENT BUILD-
ING ON TENTATIVE PLAT #817, "PLAZA VENETIA",
TRACT "B", LOCATED AT THE AREA BOUNDED ON
THE NORTH BY THE WOMEN'S CLUB, ON THE WEST
BY N.E. BAYSHORE-DRIVE, ON THE SOUTH BY N.E.
16TH STREET, AND ON THE EAST BY BISCAYNE BAY,
ALL KNOWN AS TRACT "B" OF PLAZA VENETIA,
SITE ZONED C-1 (LOCAL COMMERCIAL) PROPOSED
TO BE REZONED C-3 (CENTRAL COMMERCIAL) DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Board of the City of
Miami, at its meeting held on March 27, 1972, passed and
adopted by a 5 to 4 vote its Resolution No. 72-78, recommend-
ing granting a "Conditional Use" as provided in Ordinance No.
6871, Article XV, Section 2 (8)(d), as hereinafter set forth;
and this Commission deems it advisable for the public con-
venience and welfare and finds that the use will not be detri-
mental or injurious to the development of the immediate
neighborhood;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the application for a "Conditional Use"
as provided in Ordinance No. 6871, Article XV, Section 2 (8)(d),
to permit construction of 810 unit apartment building on
Tentative Plat #817 - "PLAZA VENETIA", Tract "B", located at
the area bounded on the North by the Women's Club, on the West
by N. E. Bayshore Drive, on the South by N. E. 16th Street, and
on the East by Biscayne Bay, all known as Tract "B" of "Plaza
Venetia", located in a C-1 (Local Commercial) District, pro-
posed to be rezoned C-3 (Central Commercial), be and the same
is hereby granted.

Applicant: Florida East Coast Prop.
The Miami Planning Board, at its meeting of March 27, 1972, Item
#3 (d), following an advertised Hearing, adopted Resolution No.
72-78 by a 5 to 4 vote recommending "Conditional Use" as listed
in Ordinance No. 6871, ARTICLE XV, Section 2 (8) (d), to permit
construction of 810-unit apartment building on Tentative Plat #817 -
"PLAZA VENETIA", location described above, site zoned C-1 (Local
Commercial) proposed to be rezoned C-3 (General Commercial).
Three objections were received in the mail.
A RESOLUTION to provide for this "Conditional Use" has been pre-
pared by the City Attorney's office and submitted for considera-
tion of the City Commission.
