RESOLUTION NO. /G- /09
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING PLAN B, AS PROPOSED
BY HOUSTON GENERAL GROUP, FOR COVERAGE OF
CITY PROPERTY FOR FIRE, EXTENDED COVERAGE,
VANDALISM AND MALICIOUS MISCHIEF AND CON-
TENTS, AT AN ANNUAL PREMIUM OF $55,000.00,
EFFECTIVE APRIL 20, 1972, THROUGH ITS LOCAL
AGENT, EQUITY UNDERWRITERS, INC., AND
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE PROPER
OFFICIALS OF THE CITY OF MIAMI TO PAY FOR
THE INSURANCE POLICY FROM THE APPROPRIATE
ACCOUNT.
WHEREAS, the Houston General Group, through its local
agent, Equity Underwriters, Inc., submitted proposals in the
form of Plan A and Plan B for coverage of City property for
fire, extended coverage, vandalism and malicious mischief and
contents; and
WHEREAS, the annual premium under Plan A is $60,000.00
and the annual premium under Plan B is $55,000.00, as proposed
by the Houston General Group; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the proposal of
Plan B of Houston General Group is the lowest proposal (accept-
able) and recommends that the coverage of City property be
awarded to said company.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The proposal of Plan B of Houston General
Group, through its local agent, Equity Underwriters, Inc., for
coverage of City property for fire, extended coverage, vandalism
and malicious mischief and contents, at an annual premium
of $55,000.00, effective April 20, 1972, be and the same is
hereby accepted.
Section 2. The proper officials of the City of Miami
are hereby authorized and directed to pay for the insurance
policy from the appropriate account.
