RESOLUTION NO. -72-"-
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE FROM
ORDINANCE NO. 6871, ARTICLE V, SECTION
3 (1), TO PERMIT CONSTRUCTION OF 12-FOOT
FLORIDA ROOM ON NORTH SIDE OF EXISTING
STRUCTURE ON LOT 3, BLOCK 4, TALIA MANOR
(49-67) , WITH SETBACK OF 18' (20' REQUIRED) ,
LOCATED AT 575 S. W. 59TH AVENUE, IN AN R-1
(ONE -FAMILY) DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Board of the City of
Miami, at its meeting held on March 20, 1972, passed and
adopted by a 5 to 4 vote its Resolution No. 72-65, denying
a variance from Ordinance No. 6871, Article V, Section 3 (1),
as hereinafter set forth; and this Commission deems it
advisable in the interest of the general welfare of the
City of Miami to grant this variance requested on the ground
that a refusal would result in practical difficulties and
unnecessary hardship to the applicant under an R-1 (One -
Family) District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the application for a variance from
Ordinance No. 6871, Article V, Section 3 (1), to permit con-
struction of 12-foot Florida Room on North side of existing
structure located on Lot 3, Block 4, TALIA MANOR, Plat Book 49,
Page 67, with setback of 18' (20' required), located at 575
S. W. 59th Avenue, in an R-1 (One -Family) District, be and
the same is hereby granted.

Section 2. This variance shall become null and void
unless the use is commenced within six months of the
effective date of this Resolution. Extension may be granted
by the City Manager pursuant to the provisions of Article
I, Section 4, of Ordinance No. 6871.

12-foot Florida Room on the north side of the existing structure,
with setback of 18' (20' required), on Lot 3, Block 4, TALIA MANOR
(49-67), located at 575 S. W. 59th Avenue; zoned R-1 (One -Family).
Three objections were received in the mail.
A RESOLUTIQN to provide for this Variance has been prepared by the
City Attorney's office and submitted for consideration of the City
Commission.
