RESOLUTION NO.
THE CITY OF MIAMI HEREBY URGES ALL RESIDENTS
IN THE DADE COUNTY AREA TO TUNE IN ON THE
MIAMI CEREBRAL PALSY CELEBRITY TELETHON TO
BE AIRED ON WCIX-TV, CHANNEL 6, FROM 11:00
P.M. APRIL 8, 1972 THROUGH 6:00 P.M. APRIL 9,
1972 ON BEHALF OF THE UNITED CEREBRAL PALSY
OF MIAMI CENTER, TO HELP PROVIDE FUNDS FOR
THE CONTINUATION AND EXPANSION OF PROGRAMS
TO HELP VICTIMS OF CEREBRAL PALSY TO LEARN
TO LEAD HAPPY PRODUCTIVE LIVES.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami has proclaimed April 8th
and April 9th, 1972, the dates of the 1972 Miami Cerebral
Palsy Celebrity Telethon;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That all residents of the Dade County,
Florida, area are hereby urged to tune in on the Miami
Cerebral Palsy Celebrity Telethon to be aired on WCIX-TV,
Channel 6, from 11:00 P.M. April 8th, 1972 through 6:00 P.M.
April 9th, 1972, on behalf of the United Cerebral Palsy of
Miami Center, to help provide funds for the continuation and
expansion of programs that help victims
learn to lead happy productive lives.
