RESOLUTION NO,
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE FROM
ORDINANCE NO. 6871, ARTICLE V, SECTION
3 (1), TO PERMIT RE -DESIGN OF EXISTING
FRONT PORCH TO EXTEND ACROSS THE ENTIRE
WIDTH OF THE HOUSE, LOCATED ON LOT 10,
BLOCK 12, FAIRLAWN (8-83), WITH A 15'
FRONT SETBACK (20' REQUIRED), LOCATED
AT 300 S. W. 67TH AVENUE, IN AN R-1
(ONE -FAMILY) DISTRICT.
WHEN, the Planning and Zoning Board of the City
of Miami, .t its meeting held on February 7, 1972, passed
and adopted Dv an 8 to 0 vote its Resolution No. 72-31,
recommending granting a Variance from Ordinance No. 6871,
Article V, Sectiotz 3 (1), as hereinafter set forth; and
this Commission deei'tis it advisable in the interest of the
general welfare of the City of Miami to grant this variance
requested on the ground"that a refusal would result in
practical difficulties and';unnecessary hardship to the

applicant under an R-1 (One-P;amily) District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the application for a variance from
Ordinance No. 6871, Article V, Section.3 (1), to permit
re -design of existing front porch to extend across the
entire width of the house, on Lot 10, Blodk 12, FAIRLAWN,
Plat Book 8, Page 83, with a 15' front setba* (20' required),
located at 300 S. W. 67th Avenue, in an R-1 (0 e-Family)COMMJSSIO
District, be and the same is hereby granted. l�Ty

Section 2. This variance shall become null and
void unless the use is commenced within six months of
the effective date of this Resolution. Extension may be
granted by the City Manager pursuant to the provisions of
Article XXXI, Section 4, of Ordinance No. 6871.

Gentlemen:
The Miami Planning Board, at its meeting of February 7, 1972, Item
3,,_,.,.ollowing an advertised Hearing, adopted Resolution No. 72-31
by an.8 tcl 0 vote (one. member absent) recommending Variance from
Ordinance No. 6871, ARTICLE V, Section 3 (1), to permit re -design
of existing front porch to extend across the entire width of the
house, with a 15' front setback (20' required); being Lot 10,
Block 12, FAIRLAWN (8-83), located at 300 S. W. 67th Avenue; zoned
R-1 (One -Family).
Three objections were received in the mail.
A RESOLUTION to provide for this Variance has been prepared by
the City Attorney's office and submitted for consideration of
the City Commission.
