A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR
OF FINANCE TO PAY TO WILLIE L. ANDERSON,
WITHOUT THE ADMISSION OF LIABILITY, THE
SUM OF $250.00 IN FULL AND COMPLETE
SETTLEMENT OF HIS CLAIM AGAINST RUBFN
THOMPSON AND W. BLOUNT, POLICE OFFICERS
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FOR ALLEGED PERSONAL
INJURIES SUSTAINED BY HIM, UPON THE EXECU-
TION OF A RELEASE RELEASING THE CITY OF
MIAMI AND ITS POLICE OFFICERS FROM ALL
CLAIMS AND DEMANDS.
WHEREAS, the plaintiff, Willie L. Anderson, filed
an action against two police officers of the City of Miami
in the Circuit Court of the llth Judicial Circuit in and for
Dade County, Florida bearing Number 71-6870, alleging violation
of his civil rights on or about October 29, 1969; and
WHEREAS, this claim has been investigated by the
Office of the City Attorney and said office recommends this
claim be settled for the sum of $250.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Director of Finance be and he is
hereby directed to pay to Willie L. Anderson, without the
admission of liability, the sum of $250.00 in full and complete
settlement of his claim against Ruben Thompson and W. Blount,
police officers of the City of Miami, for alleged personal injuries
sustained by him, upon the execution of a release releasing the
City of Miami and its police officers from all claims and demands.
PASSED AND ADOPTED thisday of March, 1972.
