A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE
TO PAY TO SILVIA VALDES, WITHOUT THE ADMISSION OF
LIABILITY, THE SUM OF $90.00 IN FULL AND COMPLETE
SETTLEMENT OF HER CLAIM AGAINST THE CITY OF MIAMI
FOR EXPENSES AND ATTORNEY'S FEES, UPON THE EXECU-
TION OF A RELEASE RELEASING THE CITY OF MIAMI FROM
ALL CLAIMS AND DEMANDS.
WHEREAS, plaintiff filed an action against the City of
Miami in the Civil Court of Record, in and for Dade County,
Florida, bearing case number 71-11300; and
WHEREAS, the plaintiff, Silvia Valdes, alleges she in-
curred expenses of $90.00 in securing the release of her
impounded vehicle; and
WHEREAS, this claim has been investigated by the Office
of the City Attorney, and said office recommends this claim
be settled for the sum of $90.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Director of Finance be, and he is
hereby directed to pay to Silvia Valdes, without the admis-
sion of liability, the sum of $90.00, in full and complete
settlement of her claim against the City of Miami for
alleged expenses incurred to effect the release of her
impounded vehicle, upon the execution of a release releasing
the City of Miami from all claims and demands..]
