CLARA WEINTRAUB AND MRS. MC KENZIE, I DON T KNOW WHETHER THE
MANAGER HAS A COPY OF THIS OR NOT,
MR, REESE: YES, I Do,
MRS. GORDON: MAY I HAVE A COMMENT FROM YOU ON IT?
MR, REESE: YES, I WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO WORK IT OUT WITH THIS
COMMITTEE OF WHAT WE ARE ENDEAVORING TO DO DOWN THERE BUT I WANTED
THE COMMISSION TO RECOGNIZE THAT WE ARE STILL GOING TO HAVE TO KEEP
IT LOCKED UP DOWN THERE FOR SAFETY PURPOSES UNTILWE GET FENCES UP
ON THE BORDERLINES OF THE LAND WE OWN AND THE REASON IS WE HAVE A
SWIMMING POOL IN THERE THAT IS A POTENTIAL HAZARD. IT DOESN T HAVE
ANY WATER IN IT BUT ITS SOMETHING SOMEBODY COULD WALK IN AND FALL

MR. REESE: I WANTED COMMISSIONER CHRISTIE TO HEAR THIS ABOUT
KEEPING THIS PLACE LOCKED UP AND THE REASONS.

I have been informed that as of this
date the fence on the Brickell Avenue
side of Wainwright Park is still lock-
ed and unavailable for public use,
despite the fact that the City Commis-
sion took steps to assure its avail-
ability to the public.
Please see that this fence is taken
down as soon as practical.

Removal of Development Sign
REFERENCES:
ENCLOSURES:
The City Commission at its meeting of January 20, 1972
received a request that the sign indicating that Wainwright
Park was under development should be removed, in that it
discouraged individuals from entering the area. The City
Commission requested the City Administration to remove
the sign.
The sign was removed the same day of the Commission
meeting of January 20, 1972.
