RESOLUTION NO. 43323
A RESOLUTION ALLOCATING THE ADDITIONAL SUM OF
$470,900. FROM THE "SANITARY SEWER BOND FUND"
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF LIBERTY SANITARY SEWER
FORCE MAIN & PUMP STATION PROJECT NO. 5330,
WS-FLA-248; AWARDING THE BID OF INTERCOUNTY --
CONSTRUCTION CORP. IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF
$243,000 FOR THE PUMP STATION PORTION OF SAID
PROJECT AND AWARDING THE BID OF JOE REINERTSON
EQUIPMENT Co, IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT Of$179,250
FOR THE FORCE MAIN PORTION OF SAID PROJECT, BOTH
SUBJECT TO CONCURRENCE BY THE UNITED STATES
GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOP-
MENT OF SAID AWARD; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE CONTRACTS THEREFOR AFTER SAID CONCURRENCE
IS RECEIVED FROM THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT
DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Miami is the recipient of a
Federal Grant to aid in the construction of the LIBERTY SANITARY
SEWER FORCE MAIN AND PUMP STATION PROJECT WS-FLA-248; and
WHEREAS, in order to award a contract it is necessary to
appropriate additional funds in the amount of $470,900 as a part
of the City's contribution; and
WHEREAS, bids were received by the City Commission on
March 2, 1972; and
WHEREAS, the bid submitted by Intercounty Construction
Corp. in the amount of $243,000 is the lowest bid (acceptable) for
the Pump Station Portion of said Project; and
WHEREAS, the bid submitted by Joe Reinertson Equipment Co.
in the amount of $179,250 is the lowest bid ,(acceptable) for the
Force Main Portion of said Project; and
WHEREAS, concurrence in the award of both contracts for
this Federal Aid Project must be received from the United States
Government Department of Housing and Urban Development prior to
executing the contracts therefor:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the additional sum of $470,900 be, and it

Fund" to cover the cost of the LIBERTY SANITARY SEWER FORCE MAIN
AND PUMP STATION PROJECT NO. 5330,WS-FLA-248.
Section 2. That the bid of Intercounty Construction Corp.
received March 2, 1972 for the Pump Station Portion of the project
entitled LIBERTY SANITARY SEWER FORCE MAIN AND PUMP STATION PROJECT
NO. 5330,WS-FLA-248, namely Alternate Bid 1•of Proposal, based on
lump sum bid, at a total estimated cost of $243,000 be, and the same
is hereby, accepted subject to the concurrence of the award of bid
by the United States Government Department of Housing and Urban
Development.
Section 3. That the bid of Joe Reinertson Equipment Co.
received March 2, 1972 for the Force Main Portion of the aforesaid
Project, namely Alternate Bid 3 of the Proposal, based on lump sum
bid, at a total estimated cost of $179,250 be, and the same is
hereby,accepted subject to the concurrence of the award of bid by
the United States Government Department of Housing and Urban
Development.
Section 4. That the City Manager is hereby authorized
and directed to enter into contracts on behalf of The City of
Miami for the construction of the Pump Station Portion and the Force
Main Portion of the project entitled LIBERTY SANITARY SEWER FORCE
MAIN AND PUMP STATION PROJECT NO. 5330, WS-FLA-248 after concurrence
in the award of both bids is received from the United States Government
Department of Housing and Urban Development.
