RESOLUTION NO. '93 /`'
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR
OF FINANCE TO PAY TO THOMAS F. WISE,
WITHOUT THE ADMISSION OF LIABILITY,
THE SUM OF $250.00 IN FULL AND COMPLETE
SETTLEMENT OF HIS CLAIM AGAINST ARTERO
CASTRO, MICHAEL S. TUCKER, FRED HARRIS,
AND HOWARD MOSHER, POLICE OFFICERS OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FOR ALLEGED PERSONAL
INJURIES SUSTAINED BY HIM, UPON THE EXE-
CUTION OF A RELEASE RELEASING THE CITY
OF MIAMI AND ITS POLICE OFFICERS FROM
ALL CLAIMS AND DEMANDS.
WHEREAS, the plaintiff, Thomas F. Wise, filed an
action against four police officers of the City of Miami
in the U. S. District Court for the Southern Division
bearing Number 71-1639, alleging violation of his civil
rights on August 11, 1971; and
WHEREAS, this claim has been investigated by the
Office of the City Attorney and said office recommends
this claim be settled for the sum of $250.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Director of Finance be and he
is hereby directed to pay to Thomas F. Wise, without the
admission of liability, the sum of $250.00 in full and
complete settlement of his claim against Artero Castro,
Michael S. Tucker, Fred Harris, and Howard Mosher, police
officers of the City of Miami, for alleged personal injuries
sustained by him, upon the execution of a release releasing
the City of Miami and its police officers frem all claims--
