HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-43275RESOLUTION NO. ,.,1/3 2, ,Y,45'— A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER AND CITY CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF FLORIDA, DEPARTMENT of TRANSPORTATION FOR A MULTIPLE USE STUDY OF FEDERAL INTERSTATE I-195, A COPY OF SAID AGREEMENT BEING ATTACHED HERETO AND MADE A PART HEREOF. WHEREAS. the State of Florida, Department of Transportation, under authority of Title Twenty Three of the United States Code is desirous of obtaining a more functional utilisation of certain of its Interstate expressway facilities in the City of Miami; and WHEREAS. the Department of Transportation is desirous that said facilities should make a greater contribution toward creating a safer, healthier, and more attractive urban environment; and WHEREAS, the Department of Transportation is desirous of obtaining a comprehensive inventory and analysis of all right-of-way properties beneath and adjacent to I-195 to determine the feasibility of their usage for multiple or joint development purposes; and WHEREAS, the Department of Transportation is desirous of obtaining certain services from the City of Miami in connection with the aformentioned objectives, specifically for Interstate 195, from NW lath Avenue to the Julia Tuttle Causeway, and Interstate 95, front NW 29th Street to NW 46th Street; and WHEREAS, it is necessary that an agreement between the City of Miami and the State of Florida, Department of Transportation be executed for accomplishing the aforementioned services, and under said agreement the Depart- ment of Transportation will reimburse the City of Miami for its cost in connection with the performance of these services; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI. FLORIDA: Section 1. That the City Manager and City Clerk are hereby authorised and directed to eater into an agreement with the State of Florida, Department of Transportation for a :multiple use study of Federal Interstate 1-195, a copy of said agreement being attached hereto and made a part hereof. ,, 4 ., r PASSED AND ADOPTED this PREPARED AND APPROVED BY: Harold Young Special Counsel REVIEWED BY: ack R.
