A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR
OF FINANCE TO ACCEPT THE SUM OF $87.50
IN FULL AND COMPLETE SETTLEMENT OF THE
CLAIM OF THE CITY OF MIAMI VERSUS RICARDO
MORAD, SALLY CONNOR AND ARTHUR FRANCES
CONNOR, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A RELEASE RELEAS-
ING RICARDO MORAD, SALLY CONNOR AND ARTHUR
FRANCES CONNOR, FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS
AND DEMANDS ARISING OUT OF THE ACCIDENT
INVOLVED IN THE ABOVE CLAIM.
WHEREAS, a claim has been filed by the City of Miami
in the Small Claims Court, against Ricardo Morad, Sally
Connor and Arthur Frances Connor, as a result of a collision
by a vehicle owned by Sally Connor and operated by Arthur
Frances Connor and a vehicle owned and operated by Ricardo
Morad, thereby propelling the Connor automobile into a City
of Miami owned fire hydrant, on July 11, 1968, at or near
S. W. 12th Avenue and 6th Street in the City of Miami; and
WHEREAS, an offer of settlement on behalf of Sally
Connor has been made to the City of Miami, which offer is
in the amount of $87.50; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the Defendant,
Ricardo Morad, is now located out of the country at an
unknown address, and his insurance company, The LaSalle
National Insurance Company is now being liquidated under
Receivership proceedings; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney of the City of Miami has
advised that it is in the best interest of the City of Miami
to accept said offer of $87.50 in full and complete settlement

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Director of Finance is hereby
authorized and directed to accept the sum of $87,50 in
full and complete settlement of the claim of the City of
Miami versus Ricardo Morad, Sally Connor and Arthur Frances
Connor, and authorizing the City Manager and City Clerk to
execute a release releasing Ricardo Morad, Sally Connor and
Arthur Frances Connor from any and all claims and demands
arising out of the accident involved in the above claim.
