A RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE FROM
ORDINANCE NO. 6871, ARTICLE X, SECTION 3
(2)(c), TO PERMIT CONVERSION OF EXISTING
STRUCTURE LOCATED ON LOT 4 AND OUTLOT 4,
BLOCK 2, POINT VIEW AMENDED (2-93), TO
PRIVATE CLUB AS A "CONDITIONAL USE", WITH
NORTH SIDE SETBACK OF 10' (20' REQUIRED),
AND WITH SOUTH SIDE SETBACK OF 7.3' (20'
REQUIRED), LOCATED AT 1402 BAYSHORE DRIVE,
IN AN R-5 (HIGH DENSITY MULTIPLE) DISTRICT
SUBJECT TO DEDICATION OF NECESSARY RIGHT
OF WAY FOR STREET PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Board of the City
of Miami, at its meeting held on January 24, 1972, passed
and adopted by an 8 to 0 vote its Resolution No. 72-26,
recommending granting a Variance from Ordinance No, 6871,
Article X, Section 3 (2)(c), as hereinafter set forth;
and this Commission deems it advisable in the interest of
the general welfare of the City of Miami to grant this
variance requested on the ground that a refusal would result
in practical difficulties and unnecessary hardship to the
applicant under an R-5 (High Density Multiple) District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the application for a variance from
Ordinance No. 6871, Article X, Section 3 (2)(c), to permit
conversion of existing structure located on Lot 4 and Outlot
4, Block 2, POINT VIEW AMENDED, Plat Book 2, Page 93, to
private club, as a "Conditional Use", with North side setback
of 10' (20' required), and with South side setback of 7.3'

(201 required), located at 1402 Bayshore Drive, in an
R-5 (High Density multiple) District, be and the same
is hereby granted, subject to dedication of necessary
right of way for street purposes.
Section 2. This variance shall become null and void
unless the use is commenced within six months of the
effective date of this Resolution. Extension may be
granted by the City manager pursuant to the provisions
of Article XXXI, Section 4, of Ordinance No. 6871.
