A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE DADE COUNTY
DEPARTMENT OP TRAFFIC AND TRANSPORTATION
TO TAKE STEPS TO INSTALL A PEDESTRIAN
"WALK -DON'T WALK" SIGNAL LIGHT ON NW 37TH
AVENUE ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE
GRAPELAND HEIGHTS PARK TO FACILITATE
SAFE CROSSING OF THE STREET BY CHILDREN
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
That, due to an increased safety hazard caused by the
widening _;of Douglas Road, the Department of Traffic and
Transportation of Metropolitan Dade County be, and it is,
hereby requested to install a pedestrian ywalk-don't walk"
signal light on NW 37th Avenue across the street from the
Grapeland Heights Park in order to facilitate safe crossing
of the street by children.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of February, 1972.
