WHEREAS, the Florida East Coast Properties by means of
a presentation of facts and information made to the City Commission
of the City of Miami by the president, Ted Hollo, and Joe Amisano
planner and architect, and
WHEREAS, the developers have advised of the necessity of
proceeding immediately with appropriate applications for zoning
approval and other approval necessary to commence the overall
project of Plaza Venitia; and
WHEREAS, some legal question has arisen concerning the
matter, the City Attorney is hereby directed to study the Code of
the City of Miami and more particularly the zoning code to
determine whether immediate applications can be made by the
developer and in the alternative, if the foregoing is not possible,
the City Attorney is directed to see if he can develop an amendment
to the present City zoning ordinances to allow for the appropriate
applications to be processed through hearings at the same time as
the Planning Department is studying and reviewing the project will
report their recommendations to the City department.
