Over the years, we have produced impactful programming throughout Overtown and surrounding communities, creating free workshops, exhibitions, wellness activations, mentorship opportunities, and youth -centered creative experiences for families who often lack access to these resources. Our organization has collaborated and aligned with respected cultural institutions and initiatives connected to the DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center, HBCU-focused college exploration initiatives through Grambling State University , Howard University , and cultural arts programming supported through the Jean -Michel Basquiat Foundation, helping us expand opportunities for young creatives while preserving and celebrating Black art and culture. As our current lease connected to programming at the Center for Black Innovation comes to an end, a new opportunity has opened through the Project Peach Building, where the second floor has been allocated for Youth Concept Gallery to create a cultural and community hub for Overtown. This new location is envisioned as the "Soho House of Overtown" a fresh, innovative creative destination blending culture, coffee, art, technology, and community. The space will feature: • A community internet cafe serving coffee, teas, and pastries • Curated music playlists and creative lounge spaces • Rotating exhibitions and cultural programming • Art prints, decor, books, and creative retail • A community thrift and vintage concept shop • Fireside chats, workshops, and networking events • Free youth art & tech programming One of our largest initiatives is our annual Summer Art & Tech Camp, which brings together over 150 youth from low-income communities for free programming focused on creativity, technology, entrepreneurship, wellness, and community innovation. While we are fully committed to building and sustaining this project long term, we are seeking support to help stabilize the early stages of the transition due to limited funding and startup costs associated with occupying and activating the new space.
