Flagler Street Dear Commissioner Pardo: I am writing to express my strong support for the proposed street activation by Lost Boy Dry Goods along the 100 block of East Flagler Street in Downtown Miami, scheduled to take place from June 11 through July 19, 2026, in conjunction with the FIFA World. Cup. As a property owner and active stakeholder in the Downtown Miami corridor, I believe this activation represents a valuable and timely opportunity to enhance the vibrancy of the Flagler District. Initiatives such as this bring increased pedestrian traffic, foster a sense of community, and contribute meaningfully to the ongoing revitalization of our urban core. The proposed activation aligns with broader efforts to energize East Flagler Street and create a more engaging, walkable, and economically active environment. I am confident that this event will have a positive impact on surrounding businesses, residents, and visitors alike. Accordingly, I fully support the requested temporary street closure and respectfully encourage the City Commission to approve this initiative. Thank you for your consideration. Flagler Street Dear Commissioner Pardo, On behalf of MANA Common, I am writing to express our strong and unequivocal support for the proposed street activation by Lost Boy Dry Goods along the 100 block of East Flagler Street, scheduled from June 11 through July 19, 2026, in conjunction with the World Cup. As the largest property owner and a long-term stakeholder in the Flagler District, we view this activation not as a standalone event, but as part of a broader, intentional strategy to reposition Flagler Street as a vibrant, pedestrian -oriented corridor. Over the past several years, there has been a clear and growing consensus among stakeholders that consistent, well -executed street activations are essential to unlocking the district's full potential. This initiative directly advances that objective. It represents the type of curated, street -level programming that drives foot traffic, supports local businesses, and fosters a sense of place that is critical to Downtown Miami's continued revitalization. With the global attention surrounding the World Cup, the timing is particularly strategic and presents a unique opportunity to showcase Flagler Street as an active and welcoming destination. Importantly, we believe efforts such as this should not be viewed as one-off approvals, but rather as part of a repeatable and scalable framework for activating the corridor. Continued support for these types of initiatives will help establish a consistent rhythm of activity that benefits property owners, tenants, and the broader community alike. We fully support the requested street closure and respectfully encourage its approval. The challenge is that 50 Biscayne does not yet have an MOT for the events at Bayfront. 50 Biscayne will need an MOT which provides northbound access to Flagler from Biscayne Blvd. Without this access, the 100 Block of East Flagler will be necessary for 50 Biscayne's northbound access. As a neighbor and stakeholder in the district, I believe this activation represents a meaningful opportunity for our corridor. Events like this bring the kind of community engagement and energy that will benefit the Flagler District. It is likely that Lost Boy Dry Goods needs to plan for the event now, so it is essential that lingering questions on the MOT are resolved as soon as possible. Please let me know what more I can do to facilitate getting the MOT agreed, specifically for access to 50 Biscayne, so that full support for this initiative can be provided.
