A RESOLUTION ORDERING LEJEUNE GARDENS
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4353; DESIGNAT-
ING PROPERTY AGAINST WHICH SPECIAL
ASSESSMENT SHALL BE MADE FOR A PORTION
OF THE COST THEREOF AS LEJEUNE GARDENS
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT H-4353;
AND ALLOCATING THE SUM OF $1,000.00 TO
COVER THE PRELIMINARY COSTS.
WHEREAS, the property in this vicinity has rapidly
developed into a multi -family residential area with an
excess of on -street parking; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to widen the existing pave-
ment and in some cases to completely rebuild it. Concrete
curbs and gutters are needed to collect the storm water and
carry it to new positive storm drainage systems.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. A local improvement described as LEJEUNE
GARDENS HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4353 shall be made under Section
56 of the Charter of the City of Miami, Florida on:
N.W. 8 Terrace(between N.W.43 Avenue and N.W. 44 Avenue)
N.W. 9 Street (between N.W. 43 Avenue and N.W. 47 Avenue)
N.W. 10 Street(between N.W. 43 Avenue and N.W. 44 Avenue)
N.W. 11 Street (between N.W. 42 Avenue and N.W. 44 Avenue)
N.W. 12 Street (between N.W. 43 Avenue and 300' ± northeasterly)
N.W. 18 Street (between N.W. 42 Avenue and N.W. S.Tamiami Canal Drive_-
N.W. 42 Court (between N.W. 14 Street and N.W. 18 Street)
N.W. 43 Avenue (between N.W. 7 Street and N.W. 12 Street)
N.W. 43 Court (between N.W. 9 Street and N.W. 11 Street)
N.W. 44 Avenue (between N.W. 7 Street and 80'+ north of N.W.11 Street
N.W. 47 Avenue (between N.W. 7 Street and 400'±north of N.W. 9 Street
N.W. South Tamiami Canal Drive (between N.W. 18 Street and 480' +
southwesterly of N.W. 43 Avenue)
which IMPROVEMENT shall include clearing and grading of street
right-of-way, construction within the right-of-way of a maximum
35-foot wide, 8-inch thick, limerock base, a 1-1/2 inch thick
type 1 asphaltic concrete surface course maximum 35-feet
wide, construction of concrete curb and gutters, necessary
intersections and returns, and positive storm systems.
Section 2. That the property against which special
assessment shall be made for a portion of the cost of
LeJEUNE GARDENS HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT H-4353 is hereby desig-
nated LeJEUNE GARDENS HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT H-4353.
Section 3. The sum of $1,000.00 is hereby allocated
from the Highway Bond Fund for Preliminary Expense.
