RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE COMPLETED
WORK OF SAC CONSTRUCTION CO.,INC., FOR
THE NEW FIRE STATION NO. 8 - 1970 AT A
TOTAL COST OF $329,563.21; ASSESSING
$2,800.00 AS LIQUIDATED DAMAGES FOR 28
DAYS OVERRUN OF CONTRACT TIME; AUTHORIZ-
ING AN INCREASE OF $1,563.21 IN THE
CONTRACT AMOUNT; AND AUTHORIZING, AFTER
ALL ADJUSTMENTS, A FINAL PAYMENT OF
$36,788.76 TO SAC CONSTRUCTION CO., INC.
WHEREAS, there exists a contract dated November 23,
1970 between the City of Miami and SAC Construction Co.,
Inc. for the construction of NEW FIRE STATION NO. 8 - 1970;
and
WHEREAS, the work has been satisfactorily completed
and SAC Construction Co., Inc. has furnished the required
documents certifying that all bills for labor, materials,
etc., have been paid in full in connection with the aforesaid
contract; and
WHEREAS, liquidated damages in the amount of $2,800.00
for 28 days overrun of contract time should be deducted from
the final payment due the contractor; and
WHEREAS, due to necessary design changes there was an
increase of $1,563.21 in the contract amount.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The completed work performed by SAC
Construction Co., Inc. under contract dated November 23, 1970
for the construction of NEW FIRE STATION NO. 8 - 1970 at a t g

total cost of $329,563.21, be, and the same is hereby
accepted.
Section 2. That there be assessed against the
Contractor the sum of $2,800.00 as liquidated damages
for 28 days overrun of contract time.
Section 3. That an increase of $1,563.21 in the
contract amount be, and the same is hereby, authorized.
Section 4. That the proper officials of the City
of Miami are hereby authorized and directed to pay SAC
Construction Co., Inc., after deductions, a balance of
$36, 788.76 as full and final payment for all work performed
and all materials furnished for the construction of NEW
FIRE STATION NO. 8 - 1970.
