RESOLUTION NO. 171A45:07
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE FROM
ORDINANCE NO. 6871, ARTICLE XXVII,
SECTION 1 (2), TO PERMIT OPERATION OF
PACKAGE LIQUOR STORE ON TRACT B, GRANADA
SHOPPING CENTER (56-16), BEING 442', 818'
AND 2,034' FROM OTHER LICENSEES (2,500'
REQUIRED), LOCATED AT 4819 S. W. 8TH
STREET, IN A C-2 (COMMUNITY COMMERCIAL)
DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Board of the City
of Miami, at its meeting held on December 13, 1971, passed
and adopted by an 8 to 1 vote its Resolution No. 71-289,
recommending granting a variance from Ordinance No. 6871,
Article XXVII, Section 1 (2), as hereinafter set forth;
and this Commission deems it advisable in the interest of
the general welfare of the City of Miami to grant this
variance requested on the ground that a refusal would result
in practical difficulties and unnecessary hardship to the
applicant under a C-2 (Community Commercial) District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the application for a variance from
Ordinance No. 6871, Article XXVII, Section 1 (2), to permit
operation of package liquor store on Tract B, GRANADA SHOPPING
CENTER, Plat Book 56, Page 16, being 442', 818' and 2,034' from
other licensees (2,500' required), located at 4819 S. Ile 8th
Street, in a C-2 (Community Commercial) District, be and the
same is hereby granted.

Section 26 This variance shall become null and void
unless the use is commenced within six months of the effective
date of this Resolution, Extension may be granted by the City
Manager pursuant to the provisions of ArticleI, Section 4,
of Ordinance No, 6871.

Item #7, following an advertised Hearing, adopted Resolution No.
71-289 by an 8 to 1 vote recommending Variance from Ordinance No.
6871, ARTICLE XXVII, SectionT f2), to -permit operation of package
Liquor store, located at 4819 S. W. 8th Street, Tract B, GRANADA
SHOPPING CENTER (56-16), being 442', 818' and 2,034' from other
licensees (2,500' required); zoned C-2 (Community Commercial).
One objection was received in the mail.
A RESOLUTION to provide for this Variance has been prepared by the
City Attorney's office and submitted for consideration of the City
Commission.
