RESOLUTION NO.93 //
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE FROM
ORDINANCE NO. 6871, ARTICLE V, SECTION
3 (2) (a) , TO PERMIT ENCLOSURE OF EXIST-
ING CARPORT, ON LOT 2, BLOCK 3, DURHAM
TERRACE (44...55), WITH 3.4' SIDE SETBACK
(6.2' REQUIRED), LOCATED AT 4051 N. W.
6TH STREET, IN AN R-1 (ONE -FAMILY) DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Board of the
City of Miami, at its meeting held on December 6, 1971,
passed and adopted by a 9 to 0 vote its Resolution No.
71-272, recommending granting a variance from Ordinance
No. 6871, Article V, Section 3 (2)(a), as hereinafter set
forth; and this Commission deems it advisable in the interest
of the general welfare of the City of Miami to grant this
variance requested on the ground that a refusal would result
in practical difficulties and unnecessary hardship to the
applicant under an R-1 (One -Family) District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the application for a variance from
Ordinance No. 6871, Article V, Section 3 (2)(a), to permit
enclosure of existing carport on Lot 2, Block 3, DURHAM
TERRACE, Plat Book 44, Page 55, with 3.4' side setback
(6.2' required), located at 4051 N. W. 6th Street, in an R-1
(One -Family) District, be and the same is hereby granted.
Section 2. This variance shall become null and void
unless the use is commenced within six months of the effective

The Miami Planning Board, at its meeting of December 6, 1971, Item
#S, following an advertised Hearing. adopted Resolution No. 71-272
by a 9 to 0 vote recommending Variance from Ordinance No. 6871,
ARTICLE V, Section 3 A2) (a), to permiE enclosure of existing car-
port, with 3.4' side setback (6.2' required); located on Lot 2,
Block 3, DURHAM TERRACE (44-55), located at 4051 N. W. 6th Street;
zoned R-1 (One -Family).
No objections were received in the mail.
A RESOLUTLON to provide for this Variance has been prepared by the
City Attorney's office and submitted for consideration of the City
Commission.
