A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE CITY
MANAGER'S EMERGENCY PURCHASE OF FOURTEEN
THREE WHEEL POLICE VEHICLES FOR THE DEPARTMENT
OF POLICE FROM FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUNDS
AVAILABLE IN THE 1973-74 DEPARTMENT OF POLICE
BUDGET, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY
MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING AGENT TO
ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF
$35 076.00.FOR THE PURCHASE OF SAID EQUIPMENT.
WHEREAS, the City Commission at their meeting of November 21.
1973, requested that informal bids be received for the emergency purchase
of Police vehicles to be purchased from Federal Revenue Sharing Funds; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are included in the Department of Police
budget, Federal Revenue Sharing Fund. for this purchase. and
WHEREAS, it is deemed expedient and in the best interest of the
City of Miami to make immediate purchase of fourteen three -wheel Police
vehicles; and
WHEREAS. it is the recommendation of the City Manager that the
bids hereinafter set forth are the best bids, acceptable. and that these awards
be made to the companies hereinafter set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the following informal bids received by the Department
of Public Properties, Motor Pool Division, be and the same are hereby awarded
at the prices stated herein:
