A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO PURCHASE BY NEGOTIATION IN LIEU OF CON-
DEMNATION PARCEL NO. 7093.A OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI FORT DALLAS PARK EXPANSION PROJECT,
AS DESCRIBED HEREIN, FOR THE SUM OF $187,925;
AND ALLOCATING $193,000 FROM THE 1972 PARKS
AND RECREATIONAL FACILITIES BOND FUND TO
COVER THE COST AND OTHER MISCELLANEOUS EX-
PENSES PERTINENT TO THE ACQUISITION OF FEE
SIMPLE TITLE TO THIS PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, Parcel No. 7093.A is a portion of the property
proposed to be acquired for the expansion of Fort Dallas Park.
WHEREAS, the citizens of the City of Miami approved
the issuance of bonds to provide the funds to defray the cost
of such property acquisition to provide for parks under the
Parks for People Bond Program.
WHEREAS, the necessary monies for said acquisition
are available in the 1972 Parks and Recreational Facilities
Bond Fund.
WHEREAS, the owners of Parcel No. 7093.A have by
agreement offered to convey Fee Simple Title of this property
to the City of Miami for $187,925.
WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interest of the City
of Miami, Florida to acquire this property at this time through
negotiated purchase.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Manager should be authorized
and directed to purchase Parcel No. 7093.A of the Fort Dallas
Park expansion project for the sum of $187,925, said parcel
being described as follows:
Lot 17 and the west 1/2 of Lot 18, less part for street,
Fort Dallas Subdivision, (1-26).
