A RESOLUTION AWARDING CERTAIN BIDS RECEIVED
NOVEMBER 12, 1973, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF
$191, 437. 05 FOR THE PURCHASE OF NEW AND ADDI-
TIONAL HEAVY EQUIPMENT PHASE I FOR THE DEPART-
MENT OF PUBLIC PROPERTIES CITY GARAGE DIVISION
FROM REVENUE SHARING FUNDS PROVIDED IN THE
1973-74 BUDGETS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF SANITATION
AND THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION;
AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER
TO INSTRUCT THE PURCHASING AGENT OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI TO ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS THEREFOR.
WHEREAS, bids were received November 12, 1973, under City
Bid No. 73-74-17 for the Department of Public Properties City Garage
Division Heavy Equipment Purchase Phase I; and
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $128, 230 can be provided from
appropriate budgeted revenue sharing funds provided for the Department of
Sanitation; and
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $63, 207. 05 can be provided from
appropriate.budgeted revenue sharing funds provided for the Department of
Parks and Recreation; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager reports that the bids hereinafter set
forth are the best bids (acceptable) and recommends that purchases be awarded
to the companies as hereinafter set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the following bids received November 12, 1973, by
the Department of Public Properties City Garage Division be and the same are
hereby accepted:

provided for the Department of Parks and Recreation.
Section 3. That the City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to instruct the purchasing agent of the City of Miami to issue
purchase orders therefor.
