A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE PROPER OFFICIALS OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
TO PAY THE SECOND YEAR'S PREMIUMS, WHEN
DUE, TO THE APPALACHIAN INSURANCE COMPANY
AND MIDLAND INSURANCE COMPANY FOR POLI-
CIES OF INSURANCE PREVIOUSLY PURCHASED
BY THE CITY OF MIAMI.

WHEREAS, the City Commission by Resolution No. 72-752,
passed and adopted November 22, 1972, authorized and directed
the proper officials of the City of Miami to purchase certain
insurance policies from the Appalachian Insurance Company and
the Midland Insurance Company; and
WHEREAS, the policies of insurance so purchased were
multiyear to be paid for by the payment of premiums annually;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the proper officials of the City of
Miami are hereby authorized and directed to pay the annual
premium, when due, to the following insurance companies in the
following amounts:

1. Appalachian Insurance Co.
Primary Coverage on Police
Limits: $100,000/300,000
2. Midland Insurance Co.
Umbrella Insurance
Limits: $5,000,000
