A RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE FROM
ORDINANCE NO. 6871, ARTICLE XXVI,
SECTION 2(23), TO PERMIT CONSTRUCTION
OF FRONT PORCH ON EXISTING RESIDENCE
ON LOT 11, BLOCK 14, FAIRLAWN (8-83),
LOCATED AT 6625 S. W. 4TH STREET, BEING
21' FROM FRONT BASE BUILDING LINE (25'
REQUIRED BY SPECIAL YARD DISTRICT #23),
SITE ZONED R-1 (ONE -FAMILY) DISTRICT.

WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Board of
the City of Miami, at its meeting on October 29, 1973,
passed and adopted by a 9 to 0 vote its Resolution No.
73-225, recommending granting a variance from Ordinance
No. 6871, Article XXVI, Section 2(23), as hereinafter
set forth; and this Commission deems it advisable in the
interest of the general welfare of the City of Miami to
grant this variance requested on the ground that due to
peculiar circumstances affecting this parcel of land
practical difficulties and unnecessary hardships would
impair the owner's rights to some reasonable use of the
property under a R-1 (One -Family) District.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the application for a variance
from Ordinance No. 6871, Article XXVI, Section 2(23), to
permit construction of front porch on existing residence
on Lot 11, Block 14, FAIRLAWN (8-83), located at 6625
S. W. 4th Street, being 21' from front base building line
(25' required by Special Yard District #23), site zoned
R-1 (One -Family) District, be and the same is hereby granted.

Section 2. This variance shall become null and
void unless the use is commenced within six months of the
effective date of this Resolution. Extension may be granted
by the City Manager ,pursuant to the provisions of Article
XXXI, Section 4, of Ordinance No. 6871.

Gentlemen:
The Miami Planning Board, at its meeting of October 29, 1973,
Item #6, following an advertised Hearing, adopted Resolution No.
73-225 by a 9 to 0 vote recommending Variance from Ordinance No.
6871, ARTICLE XXVI, Section 2 (23), to permit construction of
front porch on existing residence on Lot 11, Block 14, FAIRLAWN
(8-83), located at 6625 S. W. 4th Street, being 21' from front
base building line (25' required by Special Yard District #23),
zoned R-1 (One -Family).
Five objections were received in the mail.
A RESOLUTION to provide for this Variance has been prepared by
the City Attorney's office and submitted for consideration of
the City Commission.
