RESOLUTION NO. 73-902
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO PURCHASE BY NEGOTIATION IN LIEU OF
CONDEMNATION PARCEL NO. A-1002.2 OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI ELIZABETH VIRRICK PARK
EXPANSION PROJECT, AS DESCRIBED HEREIN,
FOR THE SUM OF $6,600.00; AND ALLOCATING
$6,600.00 FROM THE 1972 PARKS AND
RECREATIONAL FACILITIES BOND FUND TO
COVER THE COST OF ACQUISITION OF FEE
SIMPLE TITLE TO THIS PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, Parcel No. A-1002.2 is a portion of the
property proposed to be acquired for the expansion of
Elizabeth Virrick Park; and
WHEREAS, the citizens of the City of Miami approved
the issuance of bonds to provide the funds to defray the
cost of such property acquisition to provide for parks under
the Parks for People Bond Program; and
WHEREAS, the necessary monies for said acquisition
are available in the 1972 Parks and Recreational Facilities
Bond Fund; and
WHEREAS, the owners of Parcel No. A-1002.2 have by
agreement dated October 19, 1973, offered to convey Fee
Simple Title to this property to the City of Miami for
$6,600.00; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interest of the
City of Miami, Florida, to acquire this property at this time
through negotiated purchase;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Manager is authorized
and directed to purchase Parcel No. A-1002.2 of the Elizabeth
Virrick Park expansion project for the sum of $6,600.00,
said parcel being described as follows:

Lot 11, Block 7, Frow Homestead,
as recorded in Plat Book B, at
Page 106, of the Public Records
of Dade County, Florida.
Section 2. That $6,600.00 is allocated from the
1972 Parks and Recreational Facilities Bond Fund to cover
the cost of acquiring Fee Simple Title to the herein
described parcel of land.
