RESOLUTION NO. 73-893
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A ONE-YEAR EX-
TENSION OF EMPLOYMENT PAST THE AGE OF
SEVENTY (70) FOR WILTON P. SPENCER,
GOLF COURSE STARTER, PARKS AND RECREA-
TION DEPARTMENT, EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 10,
1973 TO NOVEMBER 10, 1974, WITH THE
PROVISION THAT IN THE EVENT OF A ROLL-
BACK OR LAYOFF, MR. SPENCER, RATHER
THAN A JUNIOR EMPLOYEE, WOULD BE AF-
FECTED.

WHEREAS, the Director, Department of Parks and Recreation,
has recommended an extension of employment past the age of 70 for
Wilton P. Spencer, Golf Course Starter, Parks and Recreation De-
partment, effective November 10, 1973 to November 10, 1974; and
WHEREAS, the City Physician has determined that the
physical condition of said Wilton P. Spencer is satisfactory for
continued employment; and
WHEREAS, the Civil Service Board has unanimously recom-
mended the approval of employment past the age of 70 for said
Wilton P. Spencer for an additional. year,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. A one-year extension of employment past the
age of 70 for Wilton P. Spencer, Golf Course Starter, Parks and
Recreation Department, effective November 10, 1973 to November 10,
1974, is hereby approved, with the provision that in the event of
a rollback or layoff, Mr. Spencer, rather than a junior employee,
would be affected.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 8 day of November , 1973.
