RESOLUTION NO. 73-887
A RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE FROM
ORDINANCE NO. 6871, ARTICLE V, SECTION 3(3),
TO PERMIT CONSTRUCTION OF SINGLE FAMILY
RESIDENCE ON LOT 5, BLOCK 2, NATOMA PARK
(9-116), LOCATED AT 1767 WAKEENA DRIVE,
WITH 2' REAR SETBACK (20' REQUIRED);
SITE ZONED R-1 (ONE -FAMILY) DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Board of
the City of Miami,at its meeting on September 24, 1973,
passed and adopted by a 8 to 0 vote its Resolution No.
73-196, recommending granting a variance from Ordinance No.
6871, Article V, Section 3(3), as hereinafter set forth;
and this Commission deems it advisable in the interest of
the general welfare of the City of Miami to grant this variance
requested on the ground that due to peculiar circumstances
affecting this parcel of land practical difficulties and
unnecessary hardships would impair the owner's rights to some
reasonable use of the property under a R-1 (One -Family)
District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MiIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the application for a variance
from Ordinance No. 6871, Article V, Section 3(3), to permit
construction of single family residence on Lot 5, Block 2,
NATOMA PARK (9-116), located at 1767 Wakeena Drive, with
2' rear setback (20' required), site zoned R-1 (One -
Family) District, be and the same is hereby granted.

Section 2. This variance shall become null and
Void unless the use is commenced within six months of the
effective date of this Resolution. Extension may be granted
by the City Manager pursuant to the provisions of Article
XXXI, Section 4, of Ordinance No. 6871.

Item #1, following an advertised Hearing, adopted Resolution No.
73-196 by an 8 to 0 vote (1 member absent), recommending Variance
from Ordinance No. 6871, ARTICLE V, Section 3 (3), to permit con-
struction of single family residence on Lot 5, Block 2, NATOMA
PARK (9-116), located at 1767 Wakeena Drive, with 2' rear setback
(20' required); zoned R-1 (One -Family).
Four objections were received in the mail.
A IESOLU ION to provide for this Variance has been prepared by the
City Attorney's office and submitted for consideration of the City
Commission.
