A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BIDS OF MOTOROLA
C & E INC. AT $474.50 AND BELL & HOWELL COM-
MUNICATIONS CO. AT $2,588.00 RECEIVED
SEPTEMBER 4, 1973 FOR FURNISHING THREE (3)
RADIO TRANSCEIVERS AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT
AT A TOTAL COST OF $3,062.50 FOR USE BY THE
OPERATIONS DIVISION OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT,
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT
THE PURCHASING DIVISION TO ISSUE A PURCHASE
ORDER THEREFOR.
WHEREAS, bids were received on September 4, 1973 for
furnishing three (3) radio transceivers and associated
equipment for use by the Operations Division of the Police
Department, and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bids of
Motorola C & E Inc. at $474.50 and Bell & Howell Communica-
tions Co. at $2,588.00 for furnishing said three (3) trans-
ceivers and associated equipment at a total cost of
$3,062.50 be accepted as the bid5most advantageous to the
City,
NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bids of Motorola C & E Inc. at $474.50
and Bell & Howell Communications Co. at $2,588.00 received
on September 4, 1973 for furnishing three (3) transceivers
and associated equipment at a total cost of $3,062.50 for
use by the Operations Division of the Police Department is
hereby accepted and the City Manager is authorized and dir-
ected to instruct the Purchasing Division to issue a
