8203
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE RE-
IMBURSEMENT TO THE CITY OF MIAMI FOR
EXPENSES INCURRED IN THE USE OF THE
TORCH OF FRIENDSHIP.
WHEREAS, increased use of the Torch of
Friendship and Bicentennial Park has resulted in
increased expenses to the City of Miami;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORIAAINED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section 39-2 of the City of
Miami Code is amended by adding a section (d) to
read as follows:
Torch of Friendship - A written
application for this facility shall
be filed with the Department of Parks
and Recreation ten (10) days in
advance of requested date. The
sponsor of any speech, lecture,
demonstration, exhibition, rally or
performance shall reimburse the City
for any expense incurred and pay the
minimum charge for personnel, facilities
or anything furnished by the City for
that particular event. These charges
shall be payable prior to the date of
the activity.
PASSED ON FIRST READING BY TITLE ONLY THIS 26th
day of September,1973.
PASSED AND ADOPTED ON SECOND AND FINAL READING
