A RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE FROM
ORDINANCE NO. 6871, ARTICLE VI, SECTION 3(2),
TO PERMIT ENCLOSURE OF EXISTING CARPORT
ON LOT 8, BLOCK 2, COLUMBIA PARK CORRECTED
(8-114) , LOCATED AT 268 N. W. 46TH STREET,
WITH SIDE SETBACK OF 3.4' (5' REQUIRED);
SITE ZONED R-2 (TWO-FAMILY) DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Board of
the City of Miami, at its meeting on September 24, 1973,
passed and adopted by an 8 to 0 vote its Resolution No.
73-198, recommending granting a variance from Ordinance No.
6871, Article VI, Section 3(2), as hereinafter set forth;
and this Commission deems it advisable in the interest of
the general welfare of the City of Miami to grant this
variance requested on the ground that due to peculiar
circumstances affecting this parcel of land practical
difficulties and unnecessary hardships would impair the
owner's rights to some reasonable use of the property under
a R-2 (Two -Family) District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the application for a variance
from Ordinance No. 6871, Article VI, Section 3(2), to permit
enclosure of existing carport on Lot 8, Block 2, COLUMBIA
PARK CORRECTED (8-114), located at 268 N.W. 46th Street,
with side setback of 3.4' (5' required), site zoned R-2
(Two -Family) District, be and the same is hereby granted.

Section 2. This variance shall become null and
void unless the use is commenced within six months of the
effective date of this Resolution. Extension may be granted
by the City Manager pursuant to the provisions of Article
XXXI, Section 4, of Ordinance No. 6871.
