HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-73-0819SRS/ts 10/17/73 RESOLUTION NO.2J'/9 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE COMPLETED WORK PERFORMED BY CAPLSON ' CONSTRUCTION COMPANY AT A TOTAL COST OF $307,832.39; AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE TN THE CONTRACT AMOUNT OF $1,332.39 AND AUTHORIZING A FINAL PAYMENT OF $36,928.79 FOR THE LEGION MEMORIAL PARK - COMMUNITY BUILDING ALTERATIONS - 1972. WHEREAS, there exists a contract dated September 27, 1972 between the City of Miami and Carlson Construction Company, and WHEREAS, due to the relocation of the Shuffleboard Courts, as a result of citizen's complaints of the designed location, there was an increase in the contract amount of $1,332.39, and WHEREAS, the amount of the increase in the contract is covered by funds previously allocated to the project and no additional funds are required, and WHEREAS,the work has been satisfactorily completed and Carlson Construction Company has furnished the required documents certifying that all bills for labor, materials, etc., have ?peen paid in full in connection with the afore- said contract, and WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works recommends that the completed work be accepted and final payment made to the Contractor, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The completed work performed by Carlson Construction Company under contract dated September 27, 1972 for the LEGION MEMORIAL PARK - COMMUNITY BUILDING ALTERATIONS a.i 1972 it hereby accepted at a total cost of $307,832.39. Section 2. The contract amount is hereby increased in the amount of $1,332.39. Section 3. The proper officials of The City of Miami are hereby authorized and directed to pay Carlson Construc- tion Company a balance of $36,928.79 as full and final payment for all work performed and all materials furnished in connection with the contract for LEGION MEMORIAL PARK - COMMUNITY BUILDING ALTERATIONS - 1972.
