A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO SUBMIT A FEDERAL GRANT APPLICATION TO
THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, LAW ENFORCE-
MENT ADMINISTRATION, FOR THE PURPOSE OF
CONTINUING A PROJECT ENTITLED "THRESHOLD
PROGRAM FOR PUBLIC SERVICE AIDES," AND
FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ACCEPT SUCH GRANT AND TO EXECUTE SUCH
CONTRACTS AND AGREEMENTS AS ARE NECESSARY
TO IMPLEMENT THE PROJECT IN ANTICIPATION
OF THIS PROGRAM.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Manager is hereby
authorized to submit a Federal Grant Application to the
Department of Justice, Law Enforcement Administration,
for the purpose of continuing a project entitled "Threshold
Program for Public Service Aides."
Section 2. The City Manager is further authorized
to accept such Grant and to execute such contracts and
agreements as are necessary to implement the project in
anticipation of this program.
