A RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 73-513
ENTITLED "A RESOLUTION ALLOCATING $2,520 TO
COVER THE COST OF THE PROJECT ENTITLED INCINER-
ATOR PARKING LOT FENCING, AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER THEREFOR";
ACCEPTING THE $2,943 BID OF FENCE MASTERS, INC.,
FOR JOB NUMBER 2601 ENTITLED INCINERATOR NO. 1 -
FENCING - 1973 ALLOCATING THE SUM OF $3,296 TO
COVER CONTRACT AND INCIDENTAL COSTS, AND AUTHORIZ-
ING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT THEREFOR.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 73-513, the City
Manager issued a Purchase Order in the amount of $2,250 to
Casanova Fence Co. for the project entitled Incinerator
Parking Lot Fencing but the firm refused to accept the
Purchase Order, alleging that material costs had increased
some $600 after the bid was submitted, and it is
to rescind awarding Resolution No. 73-513, and
WHEREAS, after public advertisement, new sealed bids
for this project were received on September 26, 1973, and
the City Manager reports that the bid of Fence Masters, Inc.
is the lowest responsible bid and recommends that a contract
be awarded to said company, and
WHEREAS, funds are available for allocation from the
Pollution Control and Incinerator Facilities account,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That Resolution No. 73-513 entitled "A
RESOLUTION ALLOCATING $2520 TO COVER THE COST OF THE PROJECT
ENTITLED INCINERATOR NO. 1 - FENCING - 1973 AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER THEREFOR" adopted

June 28, 1973 and Purchase Order No. 50785 dated July 9,
1973 be, and they are hereby, rescinded.
Section 2. That the September 26, 1973 Proposal of
Fence Masters, Inc., in the estimated amount of $2943 is
hereby accepted.
Section 3. That the amount of $3296 be, and it is hereby,
allocated from the Pollution Control and Incinerator Facili-
ties account to cover the cost of this project and incidental
expense.
Section 4. That the City Manager be authorized and
directed to enter into a contract in behalf of the City of
Miami for the INCINERATOR NO. 1 - FENCING - 1973 (2nd Bidding).
