A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
CITY MANAGER AND THE CITY CLERK TO ENTER
INTO A CONTRACT BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF
MIAMI AND THE SANITATION EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION
FOR THE FISCAIL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1973
SUBJECT TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE
AGREEMENT AS ATTACHED HERETO.
WHEREAS, by the terms of Resolution No. 73-772
passed September 26, 1973, the City Commission authorized
and directed the City Manager to execute a collective
bargaining agreement with the Sanitation Employees Association
upon the ratification of the membership of the Sanitation Em-
ployees Association; and
WHEREAS, the membership failed to ratify the
collective bargaining agreement on the first vote which
thereby required further negotiations and subsequent
thereto the parties agreed to certain terms and conditions
and the officers of the Sanitation Employees Association
have executed the slightly amended proposed agreement
subject to ratification of the agreement by the City
Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Manager and the City Clerk
be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to enter

into a contract by and between the City of Miami and
the Sanitation Employees Association for the fiscal
year beginning October 1, 1973 subject to the terms and
conditions of the agreement as attached hereto.
