A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE SYMPATHY
OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSIONERS OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI IN THE TRAGIC DEATH
OF CUBAN EXILE LEADER TOMAS CRUZ, AND
EXTENDING SINCERE CONDOLENCES TO THE
MEMBERS OF HIS FAMILY
WHEREAS, Cuban Exile Leader TOMAS CRUZ was known as an
"honest leader" in the Cuban Colony, and headed many relief
projects for stranded exiles in. Spain, as well as being
active in Miami in the promotion of scholarship aid for
orphaned Cuban children; and
WHEREAS, TOMAS CRUZ was killed in a tragic automobile
accident at the age of forty-three, prematurely terminating a
life which was not only productive but inspirational to all of
his followers;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
That the Mayor and City Commissioners of the City of Miami
hereby express their sympathy in the tragic death of Cuban Exile
Leader TOMAS CRUZ, and extend their sincere condolences to the
members of his family.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 26th day of September, 1973.
