A RESOLUTION GRANTING THE APPLICATIONS
SET FORTH HEREIN FOR THE REPLACEMENT
AND TRANSFER OF CERTIFICATES OF PUBLIC
CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the applications for Replacement and
Transfer of Certificates of Public Convenience and Necessity,

Request a resolution be prepared by the Law Department for transfer of
Certificates of Public Convenience and Necessity for the Semi -Annual
Taxicab hearing September .2-i; 1973.

NOTE: RESTRICTED ON ITS FACE AS "JITNEY" --NOT TAXI CERTIFICATE
Heretofore it has been the practice to waive on compassionate grounds the
$25. 00 transfer fee when the applicant concerned is the widow or widower of
a certificate holder. Fay Dresner (deceased) and Eddie Lee Lowery (deceased)
are such cases. We ask the Commission to follow the precedent in these
instances.
None of the above transfers will increase the number of taxicabs currently
certified to ply the streets of Miami.
