A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
CITY MANAGER TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER FOR
TWO INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER DIESEL ENGINES
AT A TOTAL PRICE OF $3600.00 FROM FUNDS
AVAILABLE IN THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC
PROPERTIES CITY GARAGE DIVISION REPAIR
PARTS ACCOUNT.

WHEREAS, International Harvester Company has offered
surplus diesel engines (Model DV-5508) to selected customers
at a price reduced from $3,178.00 each to $1800.00 each; and
WHEREAS, the City Garage Division stocks engine blocks
for exchange purposes for gasoline driven trucks, but it has
not stocked diesel engines because of the cost; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that two surplus
diesel engines be purchased at the reduced price to be used
as exchange units;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to issue a purchase order for two International
Harvester Model DV 5508 Diesel Engines at the reduced price
of $1800.00 each to be used as exchange units in the City
Garage Division, from funds available in the Department of
Public Properties City Garage Division Repair Parts Account.
