A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE SINCERE
SYMPATHY AND CONDOLENCES OF THE
MAYOR OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA,
THE CITY COMMISSIONERS, AND ALL OF
THE CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
TO THE MEMBERS OF THE FAMILY OF THE
LATE FULLER WARREN, WHOSE PASSING
HAS DEPRIVED THE CITY OF MIAMI, THE
STATE OF FLORIDA, AND THE UNITED
STATES OF AMERICA, OF ONE OF ITS
TRULY OUTSTANDING CITIZENS.
WHEREAS, FULLER WARREN, governor of Florida from
1949 through 1952, passed away on September 22, 1973 at the
age of 67 year-; and
WHEREAS, FULLER WARREN was the product of an age
that preceded 20th Century newspeak and there was silver -
haired courtliness in the demeanor of the administration
that assumed its mantle at a time of mid-century collision
between old Florida and rr w Florida; and
WHEREAS, history will record the accomplishments
of the former governor of Florida as the most progressive
and with the passage of time noted for their importance;
and
WHEREAS, after a most colorful and productive life
in the service of the government the late governor retired to
Miami Beach, building a law practice there;

OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Mayor of the City of Miami, Florida,
the City Commissionexs and all the citizens of the City of
Miami, extend their sincere sympathy and condolences to the
members of the family of the late governor of the State of
Florida, FULLER WARREN, whose passing has deprived the
City of Miami, the State of Florida, and the United States
of America of one of its truly outstanding citizens.
